Abstract
(20S)-2 alpha ,3 alpha -Dihydroxy-6-oxo-7-oxa-7a-homo-5 alpha -pregnane-20- carboxylic acid (12) as a brassinosteroid ligand for affinity chromatograph y carriers was synthesized from bisnorcholenic acid. The brassinolide activ ity in the bean second internode bioassay of the synthesized (20S)-5 alpha -pregnane-20-carboxylic acid derivatives is also described.
