Abstract
The steady plane Couette flow is analyzed within the framework of the five field equations of mass, momentum and energy for a Newtonian viscous heat c onducting ideal gas in which slip and jump boundary conditions are consider ed. The results obtained are compared with those that follow from the direc t simulation Monte Carlo method.
