Abstract
The ratio of hapten and bovine serum albumin in an antigen conjugate was de termined by matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization time-of-flight mass spectrometry. A hybridoma secreting monoclonal antibody against ginsenosid e Rg(1) was produced by fusing sprenocytes immunized with a ginsenoside Rg( 1)-bovine serum albumin conjugate with HAT-sensitive mouse myeloma cell lin e, P3-X63-Ag8-653. A very small cross-reaction appeared with ginsenoside Re . The full measuring range of the assay extends from 0.3 mug ml(-1) to 10 m ug ml(-1) of ginsenoside Rg(1).
