Abstract
There an two factors that decrease conversion efficiency from microwave pow er to de power. One is mutual coupling of rectenna elements. The other is c hange of circuit conditions due to rectenna connections. In this work, we i nvestigate effects of rectenna connections on output characteristics with t wo rectenna elements. We examine the output powers of rectennas connected i n series or parallel and compare them with the sum of their individual maxi mum output powers. The experimental results indicate that the parallel conn ection produced a higher output power than the series connection did. The o utput power was approximately equal to the sum of maximum output powers of the individual rectennas. (C) 2001 Scripta Technica, flee tron Comm Jpn Pt 2, 84(2): 27-36, 2001.
