STUDIES ON THE OCCURRENCE OF RADON IN SELECTED SITES OF ROMANIA

Experimental data presented in this paper have their origin in the fir st Romanian investigations in connection with the helium content in mi neral and geothermal water sources. The high radon presence in the ema nated gases from the water sources is a reliable indication of high he lium content, The work also presents measurements in connection with t he indoor radon content and the radon exhalation from soil in some reg ions from Transylvania, An attempt has been made to correlate the rado n flux data with the indoor radon concentrations.
