J. Hakl et al., DETERMINATION OF DISSOLVED RADON AND RADIUM CONTENT OF WATER SAMPLES BY TRACK ETCH METHOD, Environment international, 22, 1996, pp. 315-317
The authors have developed a method to determine the dissolved radon a
nd radium content of water samples using track etch type radon monitor
s. The device is an immersed, small volume radon monitor with a CR-39
track etch detector. The monitor is sealed from the water by a thin ra
don permeable rubber foil. The dissolved radon and/or the-radium conte
nt of water samples can be determined from two independent radon expos
ures-by using the solutions of a non-steady state differential equatio
n which describes the temporal variation of radon content of water and
by using an experimentally determined calibration coefficient. (C) 19
