Abstract
The effects of D-penicillamine on the growth and metastasis of Lewis lung c arcinoma have been studied. D-penicillamine administration resulted in sign ificant retardation and inhibition of primary tumor growth and in drastic r eduction of metastatic volumes. Zinc sulphate treatment gave the opposite r esults promoting the metastatic growth. The combined treatment with D-penic illamine and zinc sulphate was shown to suppress metastasis only in 44% of cases.
