Abstract
Water-distilled essential oils from three samples of Conobra scopavioides c ollected at different localities of the Amazon Region were analysed by GC-M S. The major components identified in the oils of the specimens collected i n the Amapa and Para states were thymol (52.0%; 17.9%) and methyl thymol (3 6.0%; 42.4%), respectively. The principal constituents found in the oil of the specimen collected in the Maranhao state were thymol (57.5%) and p-cyme ne (26.7%). Copyright (C) 2000 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.
