The phenomenon of wall deposition of ultra-fine aerosol particles of P
o-218 is theoretically analyzed. The existing model is based on the so
lution of turbulent particle diffusion in a thin layer near the wall.
Such model does not fully agree with experimental data measured for ul
tra-fine aerosols. Therefore, two modifications were proposed: a dimen
sionally correct modification of the dependence of turbulent diffusivi
ty on the distance from the wall, and an assumption of geometrical com
plexity of the interface between the layer and the bulk. In both cases
, concentration profiles and gradients were: computed. Corresponding d
eposition rates agreed with experimental data for ultrafine aerosols.
