Kolumban [1] has shown that, under specified conditions, the noise performa
nce of frequency-modulated differential chaos shift keying (FM-DCSK) in a s
ingle-ray additive white Gaussian noise (AWGN) channel is independent of th
e shape of the underlying waveform, This paper discusses the qualitative fe
atures of the FM-DCSK system and characterizes the performance of this syst
em in standard reference multipath channels.
