Abstract
We propose a framework for object extraction with accurate boundaries. A mu ltilayer perceptron is used to identify seed points through examples, and r egions are extracted and Localized using a locally coupled network with wei ght adaptation. A functional system has been developed and applied to hydro graphic region extraction from Digital Orthophoto Quarter-Quadrangle images .
