Abstract
Two new flavonol glycosides viz. 5-hydroxy-7,4'-dimethoxy-8-isoprenylflavon e-3-O-beta -D-xylopyranoside and 5,7,3',4'-tetrahydroxy-6,8,2'-trimethoxyfl avone-3-O-alpha -L-rhamnosyl (1-->2)-O-beta -D-glucopyranoside have been is olated from the seeds of Acacia nilotica (Linn). The structure of these gly cosides have been established on the basis of chemical and spectral evidenc es.
