Nk. Useinov, THEORY OF MAGNETIC-BREAKDOWN OSCILLATIONS OF THE GALVANOMAGNETIC PROPERTIES OF ALUMINUM TAKING ACCOUNT OF THE SPIN OF THE CONDUCTION ELECTRONS, Journal of experimental and theoretical physics, 84(5), 1997, pp. 903-911
The theory of magnetic breakdown, taking account of the spin of the co
nduction electrons, is used to calculate the galvanomagnetic propertie
s of aluminum, where the system of electron trajectories in a magnetic
field contains small beta orbits. Expressions are obtained for the ma
gnetoresistance and Hall resistance in the case of a two-dimensional m
agnetic-breakdown network of trajectories on the basis of stochastic e
lectron motion on large orbits and coherent electron motion on the bet
a orbits. Qualitative agreement is obtained with the existing experime
ntal data. (C) 1997 American Institute of Physics.
