Abstract
The microbial transformations of (+)- and (-)-bornyl acetate were investiga ted using the plant parasitic fungus, Glomerella cingulata. As a result, ()- and (-)-bornyl acetate were converted to (+)- and (-)-5-exo-hydroxyborny l acetate, (+)- and (-)-5-oxobornyl acetate and (+)- and (-)-borneol respec tively. The structures of the metabolic products were determined by spectro scopic data. (C) 2001 Society of Chemical Industry.
