Abstract
We apply wavelet-based numerical homogenization to the simulation of an opt ical waveguide filter. We use the method to derive approximate one-dimensio nal models and subgrid models of the filter. Numerical examples of the tech nique are presented, and the computational gains are investigated. (C) 2001 Academic Press.
