Abstract
A summary is given of a novel category of circuit elements based on th e power-law conductivity (PLC) found in various organic and inorganic materials. This category, the fractal immittance device (FD), acts as a non-integer-rank differential/integral operator associated with a ki nd of memory effects. The guidelines for its hardware realization in t he form of thin film devices utilizing the organized molecular assembl ies are presented together with the fundamentals of it.
