Abstract
We have synthesized new discogens based on polyphenylated triphenylene, pol yphenylated azatriphenylene and hexabenztrinaphthylene. A procedure for the extension of the aromatic core by Suzuki coupling is described, which mini mizes competitive reductive dehalogenation.
