Abstract
A new asymptotically optimal algorithm is proposed for detecting an incoher ent sequence of weak and infrequent bursts of gravitational radiation under conditions when the quadrature components of the narrow-band process as th e output of cryogenic resonant gravitational antennas undergo optimal proce ssing.
