Brucella abortus is an intracellular pathogen that causes disease in cattle
and in humans. The response against B, abortus involves the whole gamut of
the immune system, from innate to adaptive immunity resulting from stimula
tion of antigen-presenting cells, NK cells, CD4(+) and CD8(+) T cells, and
