Abstract
The bovine serum albumin (BSA) was monitored by piezoelectric quartz crysta l impedance (QCI) technique through the precipitation of BSA by Cu2+. The l inear range for determining]BSA was from 4 x 10(-3) g/l to 4 x 10(-1) g/l, with the detection limit being 1.9 x 10(-4) g/l. The recovery was 101.4%; t he R.S.D was 3.7% (n = 6). The effect of low molecular weight alcohol, pH a nd common serum contaminate was also discussed. (C) 2001 Elsevier Science B .V. All rights reserved.
