The International Special Committee on Radio Interference (CISPR) is a spec
ial committee of the international Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) and de
termines the allowable limits of and methods of measuring electromagnetic d
isturbance produced by various types of equipment and facilities. The aim o
f its activities is to reduce reception interference in communications and
broadcasting. It also defines immunity standards for the levels of external
electromagnetic disturbance that broadcast receivers and other information
technology equipment (ITE) commonly used in everyday life must be able to
withstand, This article describes the recent standardization activities of
sub-committee G (SC-G) that is in charge of emission and immunity requireme
nts for ITE.
