Abstract
In order to investigate indicators of coronary risk in patients with arteri al occlusive disease of the lower extremities the clinical dates and findin gs in 178 patients with simultaneously manifestation of coronary heart dise ase were analyzed, Already the majority of patients in the clinical stages I and IIa according to Fontaine were affected by heavy coronary heart disea se, With an elevated coronary risk were connected: the number of atherogeni c risk factors, a manifest diabetes mellitus, the severity of the periphera l ischemia as well as the combined and aortoiliac location side of peripher al arterial disease, These additional predictive factors and parameters of prognosis support an improved individual therapy and prevention.
