We study the influence of the proximity effect on several superconductor/fe
rromagnet S/F layered structures. In the case of F/S/F sandwiches, we calcu
late the dependence of the superconducting critical temperature as a functi
on of the mutual orientation of ferromagnetic exchange fields of the outer
layers. In the case of atomic-scale S/F superlattices, we analyze the prope
rties of the superconducting phase for parallel or antiparallel orientation
of magnetic moments of ferromagnetic layers. In both cases the superconduc
ting pi -phase appears.
