High-spin states in Nd-130 were populated in the reaction Mo-94(Ca-40,2p2n)
at a beam energy of 180 MeV. The ground-state band has been extended to 1(
pi) =(32(+)) and three side bands were observed for the first time. In addi
tion, a weak band with a large dynamical moment of inertia was found. The m
oment of inertia of this sequence is similar to those of structures found t
o be highly deformed in heavier even-even Nd nuclei.
