Vm. Velichko et al., Optical characteristics of the near-surface plasma initiated by high-powerfemtosecond laser pulses of different polarisation, QUANTUM EL, 30(10), 2000, pp. 889-895
The interaction of differently polarised femtosecond laser pulses with an i
ntensity of 10(15) - 10(17) W cm(-2) with the surface of a solid target was
calculated theoretically. In the calculation of absorption of the laser ra
diation, the electrodynamic, hydrodynamic, and kinetic equations were solve
d in combination at the plasma-vacuum boundary. The dependences of plasma r
eflectivity on the intensity, polarisation, and the angle of incidence of l
aser radiation on the target were determined. A comparison with experimenta
l data was made.
