The possibility of absorbing sulfur dioxide from exhaust gases of thermal p
ower stations and industrial installations with the use of liquid amine-con
taining absorbents - vat residues of methyldiethanolamine production, was s
tudied in a wide range of process parameters. Particular attention was give
n to the influence of high temperature and low sulfur dioxide concentration
, corresponding to real parameters of industrial waste gases, on the absorp
tion rate and absorption capacity.
