Abstract
A simple free-radical method for the preparation of a variety of perfluorin ated allylic compounds has been developed starting from perfluoroalkyl iodi des and allyltins. Allyltributyltin, methallyltributyltin and crotyltributy ltin all proved to be useful For the transformation. The desired perfluorin ated allylic compound was conveniently isolated from the crude mixture by s olid-phase extraction with fluorous reverse-phase silica (FRPS). (C) 2001 E lsevier Science Ltd.
