Abstract
The parasitological problems that may arise in organic pig farming are disc ussed. The rearing of pigs outdoors in creases substantially the chances th at several parasite species willl complete their life cycle. Moreover, zoo- noses may play an important role. Parasite species that may cause problems are discussed, as are control measures, when possible.
