The EPR spectra of CU2+ zinc saccharin crystalline powder and single crysta
ls have been recorded at room temperature. The angular variation of the spe
ctra indicates the substitution of the host Zn2+ with CU2+. Two magneticall
y inequivalent sites for Cu2+ have been observed. The spectra were fitted w
ith a rhombic spin-Hamiltonian, and the ground state wave function of the c
omplex has been constructed.
