Abstract
The geometry of the title compound, 2-methoxy-1-(2,4,6-trihydroxyphenyl)eth anone, C9H10O5.H2O, is determined by the presence of an intramolecular hydr ogen bond; the geometry of the benzene ring is distorted by a flanking carb onyl group.
