Yellow crystals of [Ni(deta)(2)](3) [SbS4](2) (deta is diethylenetriamine,
C4H13N3) were synthesized under solvothermal conditions by reacting element
al Ni, Sb and S in a solution of diethylenetriamine. The structure is compo
sed of tetrahedral [SbS4](3-) anions in general positions and octahedral [N
i(deta)(2)](2+) cations located at centres of inversion. In the crystal str
ucture, the anions and cations are stacked in the direction of the a axis i
n a pseudo-hexagonal arrangement.
