Abstract
An adverse interaction between aspirin and angiotensin-converting enzyme (A CE) inhibitors is suspected in patients with heart failure, but the effect of combined therapy with these agents on hospital readmission rates is unkn own. Our study found that combining aspirin with ACE inhibitors is associat ed with higher early readmission rates than use of ACE inhibitors alone, pa rticularly in patients with depressed ejection fraction and in those withou t coronary artery disease.
