Abstract
The determination of the above band gap optical properties of zincblen de Cd1-xMgxTe (0 less than or equal to x less than or equal to 0.5) te rnary alloys are reported on. Using the parabolic-band critical point model, room-temperature critical point energies of the E-0, E-0 + Delt a(0), E-1, E-1 + Delta(1), E-2, and E-0' interband transitions from nu merically calculated second energy derivatives of ellipsometric spectr a were obtained. The presence of two distinct structures in the E-2 fe ature for x>0 was also observed. (C) 1997 American Institute of Physic s.
