Abstract
Pulsed cavity ring down spectroscopy is based on the measurement of the dec ay rate of light confined in a high-finesse optical cavity. It is a very se nsitive absorption technique that is insensitive to fluctuations in the int ensity of the light source. Moreover, the techniques are applicable at all wavelengths where components are available, and are, therefore, capable of investigating a broad range of compounds.
