Cerebral cryptococcosis: atypical appearances on CT

Cryptococccal infection is common in immunocompromised patients, often pres enting with meningitis or meningoencephalitis. We report an unusual present ation of cryptococcal infection in an immunocompetent patient presenting wi th headache and hemiplegia. CT demonstrated a large ring-enhancing lesion i n the parietal region with intralesional calcification.
