J. Pola et al., UV laser photodeposition of nanotextured poly(hydridomethylsiloxane) powder from gaseous 1,3-dimethyldisiloxane, CHEM VAPOR, 7(1), 2001, pp. 19
Solid nanotextured poly(hydridomethylsiloxane) is deposited by UV laser pho
tolysis of gaseous 1,3-dimethyldisiloxane. XPS analysis on the solid deposi
t, which might have further applications as a catalytic support, indicates
a surface composition of SiC0.85-9O1-1.1. EDX-SEM analysis reveals that the
stoichiometry of the bulk material is SiO0.6C1.5, while IR analysis indica
tes high contents of Si-H bonds, which might be helpful for modification of
the surface.
