Polychloroprene is used in many automotive applications. The low tempe
rature performance of this polymer is therefore of particular interest
. The balance between cost and specification limits is of special impo
rtance. An optimisation is possible by combining polymer and plasticiz
er types. This paper summarizes the principles of CR changes at temper
atures below O degrees C. Based on this numerical correlations are dev
eloped through a statistically designed experiment to predict vulcanis
ate data.
