Abstract
An apparatus has been constructed which allows flow visualization meas urements using an internal mixer with variable rotors whose designs ma y be readily interchanged, The use of rotors is illustrated by constru cting standard two and four wing rotors and comparing their performanc e. Measurements of bale homogenization times, black incorporation time s, torque and dump temperature are recorded.
