The MgO doped ZrO2-TiO2 ceramic composites have been prepared in the bulk p
ellet form by a solid-state reaction method and studied for its humidity se
nsing characteristics. The dc resistance of the bulk pellet shows very high
sensitivity to humidity. The higher sensitivity in the lower humidity rang
e observed for samples sintered at 1175 degreesC is due to maximum pores in
the lower diameter range. The sensors respond quickly to ambient humidity
variation. The response lime largely depends oil the porous structure of th
e pellet.
