Abstract
The main results of the discussed work are summarized. The simple arguments of the authors of the comment do not prove streamer stability. The failure to reproduce our numerical results could be caused by the use of a coarse grid for photoionization calculations. A possible mechanism of streamer ins tability is briefly discussed.
