Nb. Perepetch et Iv. Nesterova, Assessment of antianginal and antiischemic efficacy of sulodexide as a component of combination pharmacotherapy of high functional class angina, KARDIOLOGIY, 41(1), 2001, pp. 16-20
Antianginal and antiischemic efficacy of sulodexide as a component of combi
nation therapy was studied by Holter ECG monitoring in patients with stable
III--IV functional class angina. In addition to standard antianginal thera
py which remained unchanged throughout 4 weeks of the study 25 patients rec
eived sulodexide and 20 patients received aspirin. Supplementation with sul
odexide augmented effect of traditional drugs and was associated with chang
es of activated partial thromboplastin time and platelet count and with low
ering of initially elevated concentrations of total cholesterol, triglyceri
des, creatinine and fibrinogen.
