Abstract
A broadband quarter-wavelength patch antenna with a U-slot is presented. Us ing a foam layer of thickness similar to0.07 lambda (0) as a supported subs trate, an impedance bandwidth of 27% (SWR less than or equal to 2) has been obtained.
