Bilateral optic tract oedema, left optic tract haemorrhage and subarachnoid haemorrhage occurred in a 70-year-old man with pituitary apoplexy associat ed with idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura, Left optic tract haemorrhage w as confirmed on MRI.
