This paper will report on additional studies undertaken on a novel electrod
e geometry, referred to as CAPture(TM) technology, wherein the cathode is e
xtended up the sides of a planar CdZnTe detector. The initial presentation
of this development focused on a single geometry, and a simple mechanism wa
s proposed to explain the improved performance. In this presentation, we wi
ll describe the results of further electric field and charge transport mode
ling as applied to this detector configuration, and also compare the calcul
