Finite size effects of organic particles on glass transition temperature an
d heat capacity difference of glass and liquid at glass transition temperat
ure are considered by our phenomenological model. As size of the organic pa
rticle decreases, its glass transition temperature and heat capacity differ
ence decrease. However, this size effect is much weaker than that of the me
lting transition. The model predictions are in agreement with available exp
erimental results of o-terphenyl and benzyl alcohol nanoparticles. (C) 2001
