While it is normal to restrict the deformation parameter q in the coproduct
of the quantum group su(q) (2) to the positive reals, the naive replacemen
t of q by -q results in a coproduct that dues not respect algebra homomorph
ism. However, it is possible to define a twisted coproduct in this case tha
t respects the algebra homomorphism. Application to XXZ spin chain model is
