The presence and composition of amniotic fluid (AF) microflora, as well as
AF glucose concentration and white blood cell (WBC) count, were investigate
d in 22 consecutive asymptomatic women with intact membranes at mid-gestati

n (13.6%) had microorganisms in their AF: Chlamydia trachomatis in 2 and bo
