Abstract
Isotope shift DeltaT(Gd-156-Gd-160) of the even-parity energy levels of 4f( 8)6s(2) and 4f(7)6s(2)6p configurations of neutral gadolinium atoms (Gd I) have been reevaluated using the level isotope shift (DeltaT) of two odd-par ity levels reported recently. Earlier the isotope shifts of these even-pari ty energy levels were evaluated using empirical relation. Our extensive iso tope shift data has been used fur the reevaluation of DeltaT values of thes e low even-parity energy levels which have been utilised for revision of th e DeltaT values of high-lying odd-parity energy levels of Gd I.
