Abstract
3-Oxagranatane derivatives have been synthesized from dialdehydes obtained by the periodate oxidation of D-glucopyranosides. Reduction of the carbonyl group and removal of the substituents afforded bicyclic iminosugar analogs . (C) 2000 Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
