Abstract
Substitution of Merrifield resin by a secondary amine gives a resin-bound t ertiary amine which is then quaternised with an alkyl halide to provide a r esin-bound quaternary ammonium salt. Cleavage of the ammonium salt with mor pholine delivers a tertiary amine ill high yield and purity. (C) 2001 Elsev ier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
